NICE Security Solutions Deployed at Bangalore's 'Namma Metro'

Recently, NICE Systems (News - Alert) announced that Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has unveiled a successful go-live of NICE’s security solutions at Namma Metro. This consists of full deployment at the train’s Operations Control Center (OCC) and across six metro stations.


Namma Metro (Our Metro) is an ambitious railway project undertaken by the government of Karnataka state in India to ease the increasing traffic woes of the city. The local railway service is planned to operate between vital areas of the city.

Although the work is still under progress, a part of this railway line has already been opened to public transport and has received widespread acclamation from the public.

Namma Metro is improving passenger safety, securing its train lines and ensuring efficient operations with the help of NICE IP video surveillance and analytics. It also caters to the required compliance protocols.

Namma Metro is expected to serve 1.2 million passengers daily by 2013, with a capacity of 40,000 peak hour peak direction trips and BMRCL projects full operational capacity in 2014.
