Asure Software Acquires PeopleCube of Framingham, MA

Asure Software, Inc recently announced the acquisition of PeopleCube, of Framingham, MA. PeopleCube has pioneered the adoption of advanced and flexible workplace solutions. The company has also been focussing on solutions that support planning and scheduling, as well as advanced measuring and analysis of space and resources to optimize operational efficiency.  


In a release, Pat Goepel, Asure CEO, said that, "PeopleCube’s product suite of workplace management solutions helps companies improve efficiencies in workplaces every day, and is directly in line with the Asure Software strategy. We are excited to integrate best practices of the PeopleCube product line to the Asure solution set. The enterprise service model will greatly improve our ability to bring solutions to companies of all sizes in a much larger marketplace.”

 By leveraging PeopleCube’s intelligent on-demand workplace management solutions that promote optimized workspace usage, customers are able to manage their facilities, and can ensure a substantial reduction in real estate, meeting services, travel expenses, as well as energy costs. PeopleCube’s solutions are currently leveraged by 7,500 small, medium, and large enterprise customers from across the globe. The acquisition of PeopleCube now places Asure as a leading provider of workspace management solutions for customers around the world.

John Anderson, former president and CEO of PeopleCube, who will continue with the company, said that, “This acquisition creates a global leader in providing solutions that manage workspace environments. The overall suite of available products and services extends Asure’s reach to the workspace management needs of organizations around the world.”

The advanced solutions of PeopleCube, which include its Resource Scheduler, Workspace Manager, PeopleCounter, Workplace Business Intelligence and Energy Management tools, will be carried forward and incorporated with the new AsureSpace business product line. John Anderson will head this division.

On July 3, 2012, Asure Software signed a stock purchase agreement which included both case and stock options over the acquisition of PeopleCube. The purchase price was agreed at $9.8 million in cash paid at closing; $3 million two-year seller's note; and issuance of 255,000 shares of common stock, which constitutes five percent of Asure’s outstanding shares.
