Verint (News - Alert) Systems has announced the release of Verint Open Innovation Network program, reinforcing its leadership and innovation in the workforce optimization market.

This program creates value and increase industry collaboration by leveraging Verint's Action Intelligence solutions.

According to the company, it provides access to its intellectual property portfolio through its Open Innovation Network. All enterprises that market competitive or complementary solutions can utilize Verint's patented technologies in their own offerings.

Contact center and business call recording solutions provider TelStrat International has already inked a patent license deal with Verint. The agreement was signed in July 2011 and this has made TelStrat a licensee and a participant in the Verint Open Innovation Network.

“This mutually beneficial agreement enables us to provide our customers with industry-leading functionality and enhanced business value,” said Bob Carroll, TelStrat founder and CEO. “By leveraging Verint's advanced technology patent portfolio, the Verint Open Innovation Network gives TelStrat a unique opportunity to continually strengthen the call recording component of our contact center solution suite.”

"Our Open Innovation Network delivers greater value to Verint stakeholders by further protecting their investments in Verint technology," said Peter Fante, Verint chief legal and compliance officer. "Additionally, by allowing other companies use of the innovations that we introduced over nearly two decades, the program can provide significant benefits for those companies and their customers."

Verint has announced this new program as part of its long-term strategy for protecting its intellectual property rights. In addition to safeguarding its innovations, Verint Open Innovation Network program facilitates intellectual property sharing in order to promote invention and technology advancement industry wide.
