The future seems to be wide open for 8x8 (News - Alert) Inc., who has been basking in its growth and success over recent years – and with good reason. In a recent video from the Executive Editorial Open House in San Jose, CA, TMC’s (News - Alert) Erik Linask spoke with 8x8’s CMO Debbie Jo Severin, who elaborated on what’s driving the company’s communications as well as how it is adapting to new services and trends in this rapidly evolving industry.
8x8’s recent Q1 2013 fiscal results were also touched upon. The company’s revenue totaled to an impressive $25.3 million – a 36-percent increase from this time last year, which Severin said was “a great milestone” for the company.
8x8 was and still is very excited about this substantial growth, also boasting the fact that it has added an average of 1,000 new net customers per quarter. Even more, the company gained 1,200 just within this past quarter. This is obviously no small feat for the communications technology company, who seems to be taking over the market.
If you’ve been keeping your eyes open lately, you’ll have noticed a lot of news on the unfathomable strides which 8x8 makes appear seemingly effortless, having penetrated nearly every corner of the Web with appealing advertisements and having enjoyed acclaimed recognitions from industry-leading analysts far and wide.
So what is the company attributing its mainstream success to? 8x8’s certified, strong and unique customer-focus, coupled with its independence in the market, to be exact. Explained Severin: “We’ve always stood tall around the fact that we own and operate our own technology. It’s home-grown and it’s ours, and therefore we can develop services that are specifically designed for our customer and our target market.”
The company capitalizes on the fact that it is “home-grown” and not a widely distributed franchise. This ultimately allows for added control and agility to adjust accordingly to industry trends, says Severin, adding that it especially helps the company on its product development side.
8x8 certainly deserves this celebrated title, and it seems the sun will continue to shine brightly for them in their future endeavors!
