Zeacom, a provider of Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) Solutions for SMBs, has introduced the latest version of its flagship unified communications suite, Zeacom Communications Center (ZCC) 5.1.
This latest version extends unified communications from the desktop to mobile devices, and is equipped with advanced features and functionality.
ZCC is a single solution for enabling UC on “one appliance, using one application and one administration interface,” according to Zeacom (News - Alert). The functionalities offered by ZCC are Presence, which gives staff and operators information on people’s whereabouts and availability; Desktop Telephony and Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook Integration.
Additional functionalities like a Contact Center and Operator function address the requirements of customer touch points; and Third Party Integration allows organizations to connect ZCC with their other business applications.
Company officials explained that Rich Presence utilizes Zeacom's expertise in Computer Telephony Integration (CTI (News - Alert)) to create an “accurate” picture of employee availability status and workflow. Moreover, officials said that integrating telephony, keyboard and mouse in real time, Zeacom reduces the number of missed calls.
The version 5.1 comes with a new full-featured, SIP-based audio conferencing module with visual GUI control, announcements, and privacy capability. Also, ZCC Executive Mobile provides mobile access to ZCC functionality and desktop features.
Officials pointed out that Executive Mobile enables functionalities available on the employee's desktop—including single mailbox, presence profiles and directory—to be “pushed out” to Blackberry and Windows Mobile devices, or to be accessed through the browser using ZCC's Web portal.
Additionally, ZCC 5.1 is able to integrate with Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes, and automatically adjust voice mailbox greetings based on calendar appointments, and is also able to integrate with instant messaging platforms such as with Skype (News - Alert), MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, and Live Messenger.
Miles Valentine, CEO at Zeacom commented, “ZCC 5.1 is truly unique, as it is the leading all-in-one Unified Communications solution that addresses the needs of the 21st century enterprise—from contact center agents, to receptionists, to sales reps and executives, and so on.”
