Telrex Introduces CallRex Hosted, the First Hosted VoIP Call Recording Solution for Service Providers Offering Hosted IP PBX/Centrex Services

KIRKLAND, WA – September 7, 2006 – Telrex, developer of call recording and monitoring software for small and medium businesses using IP PBXs or hosted PBX services, today announced CallRex Hosted, the first hosted VoIP call recording platform for Service Providers.

While Telrex currently offers an on-site call recording solution for customers using hosted IP PBX services, CallRex Hosted is designed specifically for Service Providers. CallRex Hosted is deployed in the Service Provider’s operations center integrating directly with the VoIP softswitch.

"With CallRex Hosted, our service provider customers can meet a critical requirement for their clients," says Ronald Raffensperger, senior vice president of marketing at Sylantro Systems. "CallRex Hosted also expands the number of clients our service providers can work with as many businesses will simply not use hosted VoIP services if they cannot record their calls."

CallRex Hosted is also ideal for hosted call center applications; hosted call center customers can now easily record calls made by their call center agents regardless of their location, including home-based agents.

"A hosted VoIP call recording solution makes sense for our outsourced phone system customers," says Kerrin Parker, vice president of solutions at M5 Networks. "By making call recording easily available, we expect CallRex Hosted to become another reason why clients no longer want to purchase and maintain their own phone system solution."

M5 Networks is one of several operators who have integrated Telrex systems with the Tekelec 6000 VoIP Application Server. "Telrex has helped several Tekelec 6000 service operators to address call recording needs of their customers in multiple vertical markets, including healthcare and financial services," says Jay Whitehurst, president of Tekelec's Switching Solutions Group. "We're pleased that our hosted IP customers now can meet their customers' important regulatory requirements by recording calls."

"Covad (News - Alert) has long offered CallRex Professional for customer-premise VoIP call recording for training, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance," says John Grady, Director of Product Management at Covad. "With CallRex Hosted, our customers will have a choice of deploying call recording on site or including it as part of their monthly VoIP services."

CallRex Hosted, installed in the hosted Service Provider’s operations center, is highly scalable and supports multiple tenants in a single system. CallRex Hosted has a web-based user interface giving hosted Service Providers the ability to provision licenses across multiple tenants as well as configure and administer any tenant’s settings.
