Ingrid Van Den Hoogen Joins Call Center Headsets Manufacturer Plantronics as Chief Marketing Officer

Call center headsets manufacturer Plantronics has announced that Ingrid Van Den Hoogen has joined the company as chief marketing officer.

Van Den Hoogen comes to Plantronics from Sun Microsystems (News - Alert), where she most recently served as senior vice president of corporate marketing. In that role she was responsible for leading the global brand, advertising, communications and marketing teams. Throughout her 20 years there she led branding for Sun and Java, drove eco-responsibility and open source marketing initiatives, and headed up various product and strategic marketing initiatives. Van Den Hoogen has also held positions in software development at Megatek, United Technologies and GTE Government Systems.

"Ingrid is an exceptional marketing professional with a successful track record of building compelling value propositions for new IT technology offerings," said Ken Kannappan, president and CEO, Plantronics (News - Alert), in a release. "Her background is a great fit for Plantronics as we expand our presence in the unified communications market."
