OAISYS (News - Alert), a contact center management solutions provider known for its voice compliance and quality monitoring applications, this week revealed some sweet news just in time for Valentine’s Day in the form of two important hires as well as the reshuffling of its customer service team. The move is designed to complement the company’s strategic initiatives for securing quality call center solutions and facilities in 2013.
With an ambitious growth plan in place, OAISYS was left with the task of seeking the right leader to forge ahead with the plan and give a shape to it. The company cemented these plans by hiring Tom Berk and Terry Buffard, both telecom industry veterans with strong experience and industry knowledge.
Tom Berk assumes the role of Director of Product Development, while Terry Buffard is the company’s new Product Strategist. In their new roles, Berk and Buffard will be spearheading the company’s ongoing product enhancement efforts that are aimed at addressing the voice compliance and quality monitoring needs of SMB and midmarket organizations.
“We are extremely pleased that Tom and Terry have joined the OAISYS team. Their strong experience and industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to refine and enhance our solutions for SMB and midmarket customers. As we seek to drive forward our ambitious growth plans, their roles will be vital to developing and implementing our product roadmap vision,” President Brian Spencer (News - Alert) noted in a statement.
It is beyond any doubt that Berk, an expert in business communications technology strategic planning, is the ideal person to lead the product strategy team of a company that is seriously perusing a product development strategy to deliver feature-rich, comprehensive, and secure call center management solutions.
Prior to joining OAISYS, Berk was with Mitel (News - Alert) Networks and played a key role in the company’s development of Mitel 5000 Communications Platform (CP), targeted at the SMB market. He reportedly contributed to the growth sales of that product by 60 percent over a three-year period.
Buffard, the market research expert, brings to OAISYS extensive product management experience. He also has strong background in competitive analysis and strategic and tactical product planning. Before joining OAISYS, Buffard was serving dvsAnalytics and held responsibilities in the diverse areas of product management, sales engineering and business development.
Selling a new product to customers is not an end in itself; it should be followed up by outstanding customer support services. Committed to delivering excellent customer service in support of their comprehensive voice solutions, OAISYS also reshuffled its customer service team with the rearrangement of some responsibilities. Accordingly, three OAISYS veterans Aarik Ames, Linda Gregg and Steve Watson each have been given new responsibilities that expand their focus on customer service leadership and collaboration with strategic partners, the company continued in said statement.
“Growing our product strategy development team aligns strongly with our mission to continue to deliver the most feature-rich, comprehensive, and secure voice compliance and quality monitoring solutions available to customers. Together, this expanded team will help us meet our goal of always exceeding customer expectations,” Spencer added.
