As a longtime service provider of Microsoft’s (News - Alert) Lync solution for businesses, ISI is in a unique position to market and provide the rebranded Skype for Business offering. In fact, as a longstanding Microsoft partner, ISI (News - Alert) worked closely with Microsoft through the development and preview phase of the application.
The company recently wrote about its experiences preparing existing customers for implementation of Skype (News - Alert) for Business. ISI outlined all the benefits of the updated and rebranded solution, including bundling with Microsoft Office and incorporating all the unified communications features of Lync. These include instant messaging, video conferencing and presence capabilities along with a user friendly and familiar customer interface.
Skype for Business includes all of Lync’s major features along with built-in, enterprise-grade security and compliance. ISI also makes it easy for customers to connect to the approximately 300 million Skype users, whether they are in network or out of network.
As a telemanagement specialist, one of the main benefits ISI provides for customers is advanced call accounting. The company aims to help clients reduce their communications costs while still enjoying a host of advanced features and functionality. It accomplishes this through its Infortel Select solution, which enables Skype for Business customers to enjoy advanced reporting and analysis for optimizing cloud communications.
The solution gives Skype for Business users valuable information, including where calls are coming from and going to as well as metrics on network performance and pinpointing of any problem areas. This data ensures clients have the correct bandwidth capacity to meet their communication needs and that they have resources allocated to the correct areas.
The solution can also provide valuable customer service information, including data on how workers are treating customer calls and how long callers are waiting in queue. Infortel Select may also be used with ISI’s Concurrent Call Analysis features, which helps customers manage bandwidth for VoIP and SIP routing on all cloud platforms, including the Skype for Business Server.
Ultimately, ISI helps customers realize the maximum savings from their network investments when using Skype for Business. By being informed of all call accounting details throughout their organizations, customers can pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and productivity increases to ensure they’re maximizing their communications budgets.
