OfficeSuite Business VoIP Platforms Offers Enhanced Communication Options

By Susan J. Campbell

Telecommunications is an important focus for any business seeking to drive profitable revenue and build a loyal customer base. At the same time, telecommunications channels can be expensive to implement and maintain. To help streamline these channels and make way for unified communications, a number of companies are turning to business VoIP solutions.

Broadview offers a full range of business VoIP solutions to meet the needs of the growing business. The company’s OfficeSuite provides more than 40 phone, service and Web portal features that allow users to customize the systems according to their unique needs. Additional options can be added at any time to enhance the overall business VoIP system.

Specific feature highlights in the OfficeSuite include hot desking, click-to-dial, voicemail, call coverage and auto attendant. The hot desking features allow users to easily move around the office and between different locations. To accomplish this, users simply log in to any phone and begin making and receiving calls. Users can also use any of the other OfficeSuite features they normally enjoy at their own desks.

Another business VoIP option within the OfficeSuite is the click-to-dial feature. Users can leverage this option to interface directly with their OfficeSuite phone from the contact manager within Outlook. Users can easily make connections by clicking to dial phone numbers directly from the contact list. The system will immediately open a line and activate the speakerphone on the OfficeSuite desk phone as it connects the user to the selected contact.

Voicemail notifications and messages can be received from any phone with this business VoIP platform. The online portal can be used to access all messages, or users can opt to receive messages via e-mail or right on their smartphone.

This business VoIP platform also provides call coverage to enable users to determine how calls are handled and where they go if they are left unanswered. This feature allows calls to be sent to voicemail, to a co-worker, to an auto-attendant or to another phone altogether.

When the auto attendant feature is enabled with this business VoIP solution, effective call handling is assured as all inbound callers can select options from a menu of prompts and then route calls to use extensions and company directories.

Business VoIP solutions can go a long way to extending additional communication capabilities to the SMB, while also reducing the overall cost of communications. With so many benefits readily available, one might wonder why anyone would continue to rely on a land line.
