Level 3 Communications, a Fortune 500 provider of communications services, has reinforced its reputation as a leader in helping enterprises move towards IP-based communication services, winning the Competitive Strategy Leadership Award in the VoIP access and SIP trunking services market from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).

Frost & Sullivan Senior Analyst Michael Brandenburg explained that Level 3's VoIP and SIP services enhance enterprise communication while at the same time making the process of implementing them easy and "enabling enterprises to capitalize on the natural operational efficiencies that come with IP-based communications platforms." Moreover, he said the company offers enterprises "a seamless way" to optimize business processes and expand in a highly competitive marketplace.
The VoIP and SIP trunking services offered by Level 3 are part of the company's Voice Complete solution, which consists of a range of enterprise voice capabilities, such as a fully native primary rate interface-handoff option, geographically independent phone numbers, long distance and local services, SIP services and integrated digital network services, in addition to built-in options for disaster recovery and emergency. The solution allows enterprises to connect more sites more securely, with greater operating and cost efficiencies.
