ITC Telecom Technology LLC recently made a new roster move, bringing in Susan Misgen as its new director of system solutions. Misgen was brought in to help advance ITC Telecom's efforts in the Zultys IP-PBX Business Phone (News - Alert) Systems line, and thanks to Misgen's experience in the field, the company’s efforts should prove much smoother overall.
Misgen will operate out of the Denver, Colorado offices, and will have a particular focus on “mid-market enterprises,” offering up improvements in efficiency to current operations and ways to perform better in the field overall. Previously, Misgen gained over 20 years' field experience with companies like Mitel Communications and Inter-Tel (News - Alert), also working in business development with both TW Telecom and Longview Systems. Misgen now reports to Braun Mincher, ITC Telecom managing partner and co-founder, with whom she reportedly shared several clients over the preceding 17 years, showing the depth of experience she has in the field.
Both Mincher and Misgen were excited about this new development, with Mincher referring to Misgen's “great experience and contacts” as well as her “incredible integrity and client-focused approach.” Misgen, in turn, noted Mincher's “genuine concern for his clients' best interests,” as well as his “incredible passion for the telecom industry.”
Since ITC Telecom's focus in particular is on the small to medium-size business (SMB) – particularly those with between 50 and 5,000 employees, as well as multiple locations – the inclusion of Misgen makes particular sense. SMBs have a unique set of needs that require unique products and services. For ITC, having someone around who knows and understands these principles—like someone who specialized in business development—should be a big help overall in conveying to these SMBs how the company’s systems can help. Of particular value here should be Misgen's experience in describing how ITC Telecom's systems can help develop business, which is often the focus of SMBs eager to grow.
Additionally, Misgen has reportedly worked with a variety of business types, ranging from banking and manufacturing to call centers and hospitals. Each has its own particular needs as part of an expansion plan, and Misgen should be well-suited to explaining how each particular business can benefit. Throw in the idea that Misgen will be working largely with the Zultys (News - Alert) VoIP Unified Communications platform, and ITC should have no trouble bringing on new customers.
VoIP has often been found to be of particular value to the SMB field thanks to its cost-savings potential and its ability to offer new calling features that often were only found with high-end phone systems. VoIP has quite a bit of flexibility to it as well, and SMBs can really put flexibility to work since such businesses are commonly more agile than larger counterparts.
The combination of Susan Misgen and ITC Telecom should ultimately prove to be a good one, both for ITC and for the businesses it supplies. Misgen's experience in the field should make it easier to convey the value of ITC Telecom's services to the target market, and in turn, the target market may reap plenty of benefits from the deployment of VoIP.
