Industry veteran expert Mark Viens recently joined ownCloud Inc. as its vice president, Customer Experience.
Viens holds over 35 years of industry experience supporting major customers and partners across markets around the world. In his new role at ownCloud, as his title highlights, he will be responsible for driving enterprise customer and partner satisfaction.

Prior to ownCloud, Viens was vice president of Global Client Services and IT Operations for Ping Identity Corporation. Here, he helped design, recruit, build out, and implement the processes and operations related to pres-sales technical support, consulting & training services needed for worldwide sales and services.
Before Ping, Viens held senior leadership roles where he drove customer care initiatives at Macromedia, Adobe (News - Alert) and Intergraph Corporation.
Academically, Viens has earned a BS and MS in Industrial Technology from Rhode Island College.

Few months back, ownCloud secured $6.3 million in Series A funding led by Devonshire Investors and previous investor General Catalyst Partners.
