Kofax MarkView 8.0 Addresses Critical Accounting Functions

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Business process automation has indeed caught the attention of the corporate world, and is increasingly being viewed as a means to making businesses more effective and more productive. No one realizes the importance of this better than Kofax, touted as a premier provider of solutions that make information processing more productive and consistent.

That’s why it has launched the Kofax MarkView for Accounts Payable 8.0, reportedly the first fully secure mobile solution for the automated capture and processing of accounts payable (AP) information.

“Kofax MarkView for Accounts Payable addresses the most critical accounting functions facing organizations today – confirming, approving and paying invoices,” said Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer at Kofax.

Claiming to be the first and only application of its kind, MarkView 8.0 now extends the solution with mobile capabilities for iPhone (News - Alert) and Android devices, and also integrates with Kofax Mobile Capture (KMC).

With the help of the cameras in their mobile devices, users can securely access information required for processing invoices from anywhere, anytime. The best part is that this captured image cannot be altered and cannot be stored on the mobile device.

By automating the receipt and capture of invoices in a secure manner, not only does the Kofax solution help prevent fraud, but helps to accelerate processes and optimize cash management. Moreover, cycle times are reduced as payments are prompt.

In the process, supplier satisfaction is increased and cash flow maximized.

As invoices are captured online, the question of a lost or misfiled invoice doesn’t ever arise. Hence storage and document transport costs are reduced.

All this together improves productivity.

With mobile devices setting the stage for real-time transactions, Forrester (News - Alert) Research indicates that mobility apps will change business processes radically over the next five years.

Looking to improve customer service and accelerate the processing of property and casualty claims, a major U.S. insurer has selected Kofax Communication Serve, which unifies and performs the automated exchange of information.
