LogMyCalls, next generation of intelligent call tracking and mobile marketing automation, was recently confirmed as a semi-finalist entree in the sixth Annual Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) (AWS) Global Start-Up Challenge. The review process for the challenge, which involved close to 2500 applicants from 83 countries, was carried out by the AWS judging panels which included experts and VCs. Only 24 entrees have been included within the semi-finalist list.

In a statement, ContactPoint CEO Jason Wells said that, "To be a semi-finalist in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Start-Up Competition is incredible! We're in the top 24 of over 2500 companies. We've received a great deal of publicity lately from our victory in the Grow America business competition to our selection as an Investor's Choice presenter. This incredible recognition from Amazon is substantial for us. To be honored in this way by Amazon is a big deal. We're hoping to be named finalists on January 10th."

LogMyCalls, which is based on a complex speech recognition technology platform, incorporates proprietary algorithms to carry out tasks such as tracking of marketing ROI, collecting call analytics data, and automating marketing and CRM actions.

Semi-finalists of the challenge were selected based on specific criteria which included- originality, creativity, and their capability with respect to long-term financial success. Furthermore, businesses also had to clear the criteria for addressing demand within the marketplace and robust deployment of AWS solutions. The panel of judges, which comprised of investors, judges, and industry experts, carried out a careful review of all the entrees to the challenge prior to populating the semi-finalist list.

The applicants were required to submit detailed product and financial information, as well as their marketing strategy, sales plans, among other such pertinent company information. After a careful analysis of this information, LogMyCalls was selected as a semi-finalist.

The 6th Annual AWS Global Start-Up Challenge Finale Celebration will be organized on January 24, 2013 in San Francisco and finalists will receive $10,000 in cash and services. Winner of the challenge will win $100,000 in cash and services.
