Red Herring Names Automation Anywhere a Top 100 US Company

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Automation Anywhere, a developer of automation software and automated testing software, has announced it was selected as a Red Herring (News - Alert) Top 100 company in North America. The honor recognizes Automation Anywhere’s Business Process Automation software.

Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring, said, “We believe Automation Anywhere embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture."

"In the past, automation tools were a small sliver of the $8 billion Business Process Management (BPM) space, but we have made Business Process Automation (BPA) automation tools much less expensive and more powerful," said Mihir Shukla, CEO of Automation Anywhere, in a statement.

"We have worked hard to bring innovation to the emerging Business Process Automation marketplace which helped drive our 100 percent growth in 2010.”

Recently, Automation Anywhere announced its second major product line called Testing Anywhere. The new automated testing software allows users to automate any type of testing. It allows QA engineers, developers and other business users to easily test controls, languages, objects, applications, and Web sites at a fraction of the cost of other testing suites or manual testing, company officials claimed.

The new Testing Anywhere can test any application on any Windows platform. It also tests Web applications on Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome; and tests custom applications written in more than 20 languages including Python, Perl, C++, and C#.

Automation Anywhere automation and testing tools are used by customers including Fortune 500 companies as well as small- to medium-sized businesses. Some of its customers include Interactive Data, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Burlington Coat Factory and Lenovo (News - Alert).
