The roughly 200,000 customers of Internet phone service company SunRocket (News - Alert) who found themselves apparently cut off Monday (the provider reportedly has, without warning, gone under) now can quickly migrate to an alternative, thanks to the quick footwork of business phone system solutions provider Nuvio (News - Alert) Corporation.
Nuvio said Monday it is offering a special deal to SunRocket customers affected by that company’s financial difficulties. Customers who can prove they are current SunRocket customers are offered one free month of Nuvio’s VoIP
service with all activation fees waived.
To further assist these customers, Nuvio said it is expediting local number porting requests. SunRocket agents and affiliates seeking to continue selling VoIP service also have access to special arrangements through Nuvio.
“Our goal is to get former SunRocket customers up and running and making calls as quickly as possible,” said Joe Woodbury, director of marketing at Nuvio, in a Monday statement. “We have developed a custom site for former SunRocket customers to transfer their service to Nuvio that is quick and easy to use.”
That custom site can be found at http://direct.nuvio.com/sunrocket.
Because Nuvio utilizes many of the same carriers as SunRocket, the company expects a relatively quick migration process for customers provisioning and porting local numbers as they move from SunRocket to Nuvio.
“Our vendor relationships are strong and allow us to provide top level service and reliability,” said Jason Talley, Nuvio’s CEO, in a Monday statement. “We want to welcome former SunRocket customers and offer them a soft landing at a financially stable and reliable VoIP provider.”
Nuvio has been in the business phone system and VoIP business since 2003, and has an established record of consistent, managed growth. The company provides hosted PBX
solutions using VoIP technology. Nuvio products are custom-developed using proprietary switching fabric that helps ensure reliable, stable solutions with excellent uptime.
