Business Ethernet Provider tw telecom to Head to New York for Panel Discussion

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

While most might be ready to kick back this summer – bask in the sun, hit up some Memorial Day and July 4th beach parties, and plan summer outings – tw telecom (News - Alert) has a much different idea in mind: continue down its path of spreading the word about just how competitive the business Ethernet provider is.

And while some would think it is impressive enough that in just one month a handful of companies tapped tw telecom for its business Ethernet services, that the company announced the launch of Enhanced Management, the first phase of its Intelligent Network service portfolio, nationwide, and that it announced the launch of Enhanced Management nationwide, for tw telecom not even the summer heat can slow the company down.

This week, tw telecom announced its participation at the upcoming Cowen and Company 40th Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, taking pace Wednesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. EST in New York, N.Y. Larissa Herda, chairman, CEO, and president, Mark Peters, executive vice president and CFO, and Michael Rouleau (News - Alert), senior vice president of business development and strategy, will be presenting at the event.

The speech will be a webcast. To listen live, visit www.twtelecom.com and click the "Investors" tab.

tw telecom was most recently in the news when Western Peterbilt announced that it selected tw telecom to create a seamless, highly reliable, multi-state network of business Ethernet and converged services to 17 locations in Washington, California, Oregon and Alaska.  Western Peterbilt is an existing tw telecom customer, and the new agreement expands the services tw telecom provides the company.

"As our business continues to grow, it is critical that we remain as competitive as possible, and that includes having a highly reliable, cost-effective communications network in place to ensure that we deliver the level of service our customers expect," said Roger J. Martindell, manager of IT services, Western Peterbilt, in a statement.
