Appian, a provider of enterprise and on-demand business process management (BPM) technology, announced that Nokia Siemens Networks has won the Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow 2010 using Appian BPM suite.
Nokia Siemens (News - Alert) Networks was recognized in the Middle East/Africa region for a global BPM program delivering millions of dollars in return on investment annually, company officials said.
According to Nick Deacon, Global head of BPM at Nokia Siemens Networks (News - Alert), the Appian BPM suite enabled the company to increase the visibility and control across all core operations and deliver substantial business value.
The company used the Appian BPM software suite to deploy a sophisticated, pan-organizational BPM program driven by one of the most mature Center of Excellence organizations in the BPM industry.
Using the Appian BPM Suite, Nokia Siemens Networks provided a multitude of applications, delivering process automation, process governance and consistency to the fundamental areas of NSN's business, from its Business Solutions and Operations to its Managed Services and its Global Network Implementation Centers.
The Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow 2010, now the 17th, recognize user organizations that have demonstrably excelled in implementing innovative business process solutions to meet strategic business objectives, according to company officials.
These awards are managed by Future Strategies and co-sponsored by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and BPM.com.
Another customer of Appian, UPS, also was selected as an award Finalist in the North America region for a BPM program that has improved operational efficiencies, enhanced customer service excellence, and generated significant cost-savings.
“Appian's BPM software transforms organizations by allowing everyone to participate in process improvement,” said Matthew Calkins, president and CEO of Appian, in a statement. “Through a simple and seamless user experience, social technology collaboration and comprehensive features we deliver rapid and profound business value to customers like NSN and UPS.”
Appian, through its BPM software, provides the fastest way to deploy robust processes, collapsing time to value for new process initiatives. Businesses and governments worldwide use Appian to accelerate process improvement and drive business performance, company officials said.
Back in Nov., the company announced that Archant, the UK's largest independently-owned regional media and publishing company, has successfully deployed the Appian BPM Suite within its Advertisement Design and Production processes.
