Appliance Deployment Feature: NEI's Platform Wins Product Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY

By Marisa Torrieri, TMCnet Editor

NEI’s E-2710 line is a recipient of a Product of the Year Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

The magazine’s editors said they picked companies that have demonstrated the vision, leadership and thoroughness associated with the Product of the Year Award.

“After receiving hundreds of applications again this year, judging the products was difficult but I am confident that the selected winners are dedicated to quality and the growth of the IP communications industry,” said TMC (News - Alert) group editorial director Erik Linask. “These winners deserve this award and I look forward to seeing more inventive solutions from them as they contribute further to the VoIP and IP communications industry.”

NEI’s E-2710 Enterprise-Class Application Platform is a purpose-built, Dell (News - Alert)-based platform made for DC powered environments and Green enterprise deployments.

It features state-of-the-art power optimization technologies, including optional DC power operation for deploying next-generation Green solutions. Also available as an AC-powered server, the E-2710 employs Intel’s (News - Alert) new Xeon 5500 series microprocessor for dynamically scaling its power utilization and making next-generation systems far more energy efficient.

According to NEI, these highly available, open-standard platforms meet the market demand for low-power enterprise computing, data centers and carrier-grade central offices that do not require NEBS level 3 certification.

“We are proud to acknowledge the winning companies,” greatest achievements in advancing VoIP and IP communication technologies for 2009,” Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC, stated. “These companies have shown us their devotion to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace.”
