Telecommunications management systems are becoming increasingly critical as organizations migrate to next generation communications networks. For over 25 years, NetPlus has been offering communications management solutions for both commercial and government entities.
Specifically, the NetPlus Telecommunications Management System (TMS) has been designed for enterprise-level converged networks and is built to provide an integrated view across legacy telecom and VoIP networks. The system automates communications network operations and management, aiming to enhance end-user service, allocate and control costs, increase data accuracy and accessibility, and streamline communication flows.
NetPlus recently announced that it has become the first telecommunications management system certified by JITC (Joint Interoperability Test Command) on all unified communications and legacy switches on the approved product list (APL) for the Department of Defense, including Avaya (News - Alert) and Cisco switches.
To ease its transition from legacy voice solutions to VoIP (voice over IP) and UC (unified communications) solutions, DoD chose NetPlus, which is currently working to help the department effectively manage its new network environment.
NetPlus TMS is said to have met critical unified capabilities requirements and is thus certified for joint use as a customer premise equipment (CPE) telecommunications management system. Furthermore, NetPlus TMS is certified for network management via Internet Protocol with any Avaya AS5300, Avaya S8xxx, and Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communication Manager switches that are listed on the UC APL.
NetPlus software was subject to a rigorous series of security tests by JITC and came out with zero findings, meaning JITC was unable to penetrate NetPlus’ security defenses.
“Having zero findings with JITC is an incredible feat. Their testing standards are second to none in terms of security and quality assurance. This certification is a huge benefit to our DoD and civilian clients, they can rest assured their data is always secure in NetPlus,” explained Matt Lewis, president of NetPlus, in a statement.
