By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor
Canton, Massachusetts-based NEI (News - Alert), a provider of appliance deployment solutions as well as lifecycle support services for software technology developers and OEMs located around the world, has just launched an improved Web-based customer portal that boasts easy-to-use control and access functionalities that will continue to drive efficiency in any organization. Through this enhanced portal, NEI customers will be able to gain increased visibility into international operations such as manufacturing, stocking, shipping, and distribution management, especially when product demands change.
Called the My-NEI online portal, customers can easily see crucial information in relation to the production of their products, including inventory reports, orders, shipments, sales forecasts, and much more, a press release revealed.
Additionally, the My-NEI portal now has the ability to provide international visibility, enhanced tracking capabilities, simpler navigation and additional reporting features, allowing customers to see multiple static reports and files.
“The real-time access to critical international logistics, shipping and inventory management information at any time, regardless of time zone differences, has resulted in substantial time and cost savings for RSA Security (News - Alert),” said Jim O'Leary, worldwide supply chain manager at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, in a statement. “Additionally, the NEI portal provides a shared resource between customer and supplier -- eliminating any confusion by ensuring both parties are looking at the same information, which has improved our supply chain management efficiency.”
In addition, NEI’s LEAD (Lifecycle Engine for Application Deployment) system has been developed from the ground up to increase the speed to market of applications. This system will work with customers throughout the entire lifecycle of the product, and is fully supported by an innovative approach to program management.
