Enterprise and carrier solutions provider Cable&Wireless has announced that it has unveiled new regional headquarters in Dubai Internet City (News - Alert) to cater more effectively to its customer base in the Middle East and Africa.
The company has already completed three years in the Middle East. Its foray into the region began in 2008 with the deployment of an extensive telecommunications network (MPLS). This included Points of Presences (PoPs) in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, connecting customers based in the United Arab Emirates back into the MPLS network. Through this network, the company has provided connectivity to majors such as HSBC.
The next-generation network of C&W Worldwide supports an advanced portfolio of Internet Protocol (IP) based managed communications services including hosting, security and worldwide connectivity for enterprise customers in the Middle East market. The company is also able to route higher levels of data traffic in the EMEA region, where Internet usage is expected to grow substantially. Ghassan Latif has been appointed to lead C&W Worldwide's efforts in the region.

A true multi-national, Cable&Wireless has its business in all the major capitals and 20 points of presence throughout Europe. It operates through two standalone business units - Europe, Asia & US and International. Through its European offices the company caters to all the large corporate in the continent and also provides a bridge to Asia and the USA.
