Metaswitch Networks, a provider of advanced carrier services and communications software solutions, has just opened a new facility in San Francisco. This brand new site is now Metaswitch’s largest office building in the world, and from this location CEO Kevin DeNuccio (News - Alert) will work in conjunction with multiple senior executives in marketing, product management and corporate development, to continue to increase various aspects of the company while simultaneously expanding around the globe.
According to a recent press release, the office has its own street entrance at 201 Potrero Ave. The facility will encase product research and development, marketing, product management, an executive briefing and demonstration center, an expanded interoperability lab, a customer training center and extensive operations facilities, the release stated.
The San Francisco location was a strategic move as it will enable Metaswitch to continue to grow and diversify by having increased access to the city’s technology professionals, while also be located closely in proximity to Silicon Valley.
The building is an astounding 75,000 square-feet with a historic history and boasts completely redone brick and timber. Known as 208 Utah Street, TMG Partners purchased the property last year and invested in a multitude of renovations in order to bring out the building’s original 1916 opulence.
“Metaswitch is pioneering the next generation of communications technology,” said DeNuccio in a statement. “Our new San Francisco location south of Market places us directly in the heart of one of the most innovative areas in the country, a thriving and vibrant community alongside the likes of Zynga, Salesforce.com (News - Alert), Twitter, Yelp (News - Alert) and Riverbed.”
