Advanced Carrier Services Provider Metaswitch Displays Upwardly Mobile Solutions at CTIA

Metaswitch Networks, a supplier of next generation infrastructure, applications and advanced carrier services to network operators, will use CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) 2011 to show off the company’s new complete suite of mobile applications that will help operators in their plight to get ahead of Over The Top (OTT) competition.


Thrutu is now a great advantage available as part of the suite, as this new solution offers a totally new way to share content through your mobile device; which is now available to service providers for the first time ever.

The Metaswitch suite of mobile applications offers the best mixture of unified messaging and advanced call features currently on the market directly to a subscriber's existing mobile phone number. Examples include granular call control, desktop application integration, softphone-twinning, mobile centrex and instant multi-party conferencing, a release stated.

This unique suite is now even more dynamic because of Thrutu, which is a client/cloud application that will enhance the length of call times by establishing an environment that allows for one click, impulsive sharing, that will be shown on the call-in-progress screen.

Metaswitch will also show its network infrastructure solutions at CTIA, that encourage application interworking across divided mobile networks, as well as products that were created to make the current intensities of scalable SIP session routing much more simpler.

"We know that operators want to extend the phone call, and earn a recurring revenue share of mobile applications, but to date most of those dollars are flowing to OTT providers," commented Kevin DeNuccio (News - Alert), CEO at Metaswitch Networks, in a press release. "With applications like Thrutu, we're not only changing the conversation but changing the game. Service providers can leverage our products, service and real-world experience to quickly integrate branded OTT and network-based applications into their own competitive mix."
