911 Enable Director to Discuss E911 for Avaya IP Telephony at IAUG Conference

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

As a partner of the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG), 911 services provider 911 Enable (News - Alert) aims to help educate the Avaya customer community and the group’s members about the importance of having resilient and reliable E911 capabilities in place on their Avaya (News - Alert) IP telephony networks.

A forum for Avaya consumers, the IAUG thrives to provide resources that can help maximize their communications technology investments. This year, the group is taking it a step further by convening with the entire Avaya user community at the IAUG Global Conference to spread the word on Avaya’s product roadmap and reveal the latest information on 911 services solutions, products and strategies.

911 Enable’s own director, Lev Deich, will present a session entitled, “E911 for Avaya IP Telephony” on Sunday, May 22, from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. PT. The conference takes place May 22 to 26, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas; while the exhibit hall will be open May 22 to 25.

Deich will focus his informative session around how the features of IP telephony impact E911; how organizations should comply with E911 laws; and how to best implement a cost-effective E911 solution for an entire organization.

Targeted at enterprises using Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Avaya Aura Session Manager, the session will reveal the distinctive challenges that IP telephony presents for E911.

This first-ever IAUG Conference will also feature personal insight from top Avaya executives into the company’s consolidated product plans; an exhibit hall showcasing enterprise communications and services designed to complement Avaya and heritage Nortel (News - Alert) solutions; general and breaking sessions featuring both Avaya executives and informational lectures; networking opportunities and a presentation of the IAUG Professional Development Certificate Program.

Deich has been busy providing his insight and knowledge to industry events and recently took part in an interview at Enterprise Connect (News - Alert) 2011 to provide a little more detail on what 911 Enable does and why its services are so necessary.
