VQmon quality assessment platform has successfully been integrated into Polystar
MediaProbe product. One area of uniqueness that MediaProbe with VQmon provides is the ability to monitor calls that traverse networks, enabling accurate on-demand monitoring and reporting on both ongoing and completed calls, Polystar (News
) officials said in a statement released today.
Polystar OSIX, a supplier of Service Assurance and Network Performance Monitoring solutions, announced its technology partnership with Telchemy (News
) Incorporated, a global leader in Voice and Video over IP performance management technology.
"Our unique solution automatically correlates the quality reports generated by VQmon for each RTP stream to control signalling, providing KQIs from an individual end-customer perspective," said Thomas Vasen, Senior Product Manager at Polystar OSIX. "The MediaProbe provides an extensive set of KQIs enabling Customer-Centric Service Assurance for both voice and video services."
The MediaProbe, which is enhanced by the Telchemy Voice and Video over IP
Performance Management Technology, will allow network operators and service providers to monitor the quality of the media streams for Mobile Release 4, VoIP and IMS networks in real-time, to aggregate vast volumes of data for further processing, implement changes and therefore improve the quality of customers' experience.
“We are pleased to work with Polystar OSIX and to support their mission to deliver quality solutions to their customers.” said Dr. Alan Clark (News
), CEO of Telchemy. “Our technology provides Polystar OSIX and their customers with actionable and accurate IP voice and video quality information in real-time and proactively monitors networks to detect any problems affecting user perceived quality.”
When it comes to VoIP, IPTV
, and other multimedia services, quality of experience (QoE) is the bottom line. Problems with enterprise telephony or videoconferencing systems can directly affect communications with customers and reduce employee productivity. And for VoIP and IPTV (News
) service providers, the stakes are even higher: bad QoE can mean losing subscribers, often for good.
Telchemy Incorporated is the world's first and only company to provide Voice and Video IP performance management technology that considers the effects of time-varying network impairments and has led the development of VoIP performance management protocols within the industry. Founded in 1999, the company has products deployed worldwide and markets its technology through leading networking, test and management product companies.
