BCM One Bridges Mobile and UC Environments with Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go

By Erik Linask March 06, 2025

BCM One has launched its new Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go, a solution designed to seamlessly integrate mobile devices with Cisco’s popular Webex Calling platform.  The new solutions is powered by Tango Networks (News - Alert) and addresses a demand for flexible and secure mobile communication solutions necessary for maximizing opportunity and success in mobile and hybrid work environments.

Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go extends the capabilities of BCM One’s Pure IP Cloud Connect service to Webex Calling.  What does that mean?  Simply put, it allows users to utilize their personal mobile devices for business communications without compromising security or compliance.  This integration allows employees to use their existing business numbers on their personal devices, creating a BYOD environment that is centrally managed through the Webex Control Hub, enabling business to ensure security and compliance continuity in mobile environments.

The solution offers users a choice in how they engage with business communications on their mobile devices. Employees can make and receive calls using their phone’s native dialer, providing a familiar, app-free experience.  Users also have the option of using the Webex app to leverage the full suite of Webex Calling features, including mid-call functionalities, when more advanced collaboration tools are needed.

The rise of mobile and remote work has created a significant need for unified communication solutions that seamlessly extend beyond the traditional office environment.  One of the challenges business have always faced is adoption of new solutions and tools, at least partially because they don’t deliver an intuitive or familiar user experience.  BCM overcomes that with Pure IP Mobile Connect by leveraging native dialers, while also making a more robust feature set available through the Webex app.  The approach is likely to result in greater initial adoption and, ultimately, will create a desire to leverage the solution’s full capabilities.

According to recent studies by Grand View Research, the global UCaaS market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by the increasing adoption of remote work and the need for businesses to connect distributed teams.  It projects growth to continue at a 19.8% CAGR through 2030.

Solutions like Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go are an important part of the puzzle because they bridge the gap between mobile devices and enterprise-grade communication platforms without compromising security and compliance or user experience.  The former is critical business needs, and the latter is a key to adoption, which, then, drives business success.  While it’s not a new concept, many solutions have struggled to deliver the right combination of functionality, security, integration, and user experience.  BCM One seeks to buck that trend and deliver a better, more user-centric mobile UC experience.

“Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go keeps mobile and remote workers connected to Webex Calling in the way that works best for them,” noted Diana Florea, Director of Product Management at BCM One.

Key benefits of Pure IP Mobile Connect for Webex Go include:

  • Seamless Integration with Webex Calling: Extends Webex Calling functionalities to mobile devices, providing a unified communication experience.
  • BYOD Enablement: Allows employees to use personal mobile devices for business calls, enhancing flexibility and convenience.
  • Enhanced Security and Compliance: Ensures business communications on mobile devices are secure and compliant with company policies.
  • Centralized Management: Provides IT administrators with centralized control and visibility over mobile devices through the Webex Control Hub.
  • Flexible User Experience: Offers users the choice of using the native dialer for a simple experience or the Webex app for advanced features.
