A Must-See Keynote at ITEXPO 2025: The Journey from In-House Expertise to Managed Services Success

By Greg Tavarez February 10, 2025

Here’s a choice to make:

A company is trying to decide whether or not they should stick with an in-house IT team, with many years of experience, that specializes in maintaining and improving the organization's infrastructure, often developing custom solutions tailored to the company’s unique challenges. However, an internal IT team can become limited by its own expertise and budget constraints.

Or, do they go with a managed services that offer broad expertise across multiple industries and access to the latest technologies, cybersecurity solutions and best practices?

While it is necessarily not a decision that businesses are forced to make, it is one that does come up in discussion among the C-suite.

If they make the switch, an MSP can typically provide 24/7 support, scalability and predictable pricing models that help companies control IT costs. However, MSPs may lack the deep, day-to-day familiarity with a company's operations that an internal team possesses.

At ITEXPO 2025 and MSP Expo 2025, both part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW, Brandel Kremer, director at Kellanova, will take the audience behind the scenes of moving from a team with 100 years of collective experience to a managed services model.

Kellanova is a global company that specializes in snacks, international cereals, noodles, and North American frozen breakfast foods. Established in late 2023 following the separation of Kellogg Company's North American cereal business, Kellanova boasts a portfolio of iconic brands, including Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Eggo, and MorningStar Farms.

In this keynote, taking place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, the audience will see why the change was made as well as the factors that influenced the move to an MSP. Factors could be cost efficiency, skill gaps and expertise, scalability and flexibility, security and compliance Needs, and even IT staff turnover and hiring challenges.

The audience will also see the real-world challenges they faced and how they overcame them as well as actionable insights for IT leaders considering a similar transition.

To some, it might be just a case study. To others, it can be a guide as they look to navigate change, optimize resources and future-proof IT operations.

Be there. Learn from Kellanova’s keynote presentation. Walk away with the insights you need to lead your own IT evolution.
