Questions About Building a Shared Digital Future? Attend Enterprise & Industrial Metaverse Expo

By Greg Tavarez January 07, 2025

The metaverse is a world where you can slip on a headset and suddenly not be in your living room anymore. You could be on a beach in the Bahamas, attending a concert in another country, or even exploring a fantasy realm. It's like stepping into a movie, but you're actually there, interacting with the environment and other people who are also in this digital space.

From a business perspective, teams could have meetings with colleagues as holograms, attend virtual training sessions, or even look at products in-depth through holograms. The possibilities are endless, honestly.

Of course, there are a lot of questions, challenges and concerns that come with this idea. How do we ensure everyone has access to this technology? Is it truly this practical? What about privacy and safety concerns? What kind of society will we become if we spend a lot of time living in these virtual worlds?

This is all definitely something to think about.

Suffice to say, the metaverse is still very much in its early stages, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way we live, work, and play. It's exciting to imagine what the future holds, even if it's a little bit scary at the same time.

And for those who are curious about the technical hurdles, the social implications or the ethical considerations of building a shared digital future, an interactive discussion is being held at Enterprise & Industrial Metaverse Expo (taking place February 11-13 in the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During “Metaverse Standards Forum: Ask Me Anything,” the panel will explore how the metaverse is poised to impact businesses, reshape branding strategies, revolutionize user experiences and foster unprecedented cross-platform collaboration.

Leading voices from the Metaverse Standards Forum will be on hand to answer your questions in real-time. They are Brian Chu, Chief Product Officer, Infinite (News - Alert) Reality, and Mohsen Rezayat, Chief Solutions Architect and Technical Fellow, Siemens.

As businesses and developers eagerly explore the metaverse's potential, the need for open and interoperable standards has become important. This session will look into the key challenges and opportunities in establishing these critical standards. The panel will discuss how to ensure smooth user experiences across diverse platforms and foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation.

Register and join this discussion at 4:00-4:45 PM Tuesday, February 11 to gain valuable insights from industry experts.
