No Longer a Luxury: Embrace the New Year and Learn about Cybersecurity Imperatives at ITEXPO 2025

By Alex Passett December 30, 2024

Let’s face it, folks — 2025 will be upon us in less than two days, yet there are some business leaders who still haven’t prioritized cybersecurity this year.

So, we’ll say this: If any of our readers feel as though this may apply to their respective businesses, it’s time to a.) take stock of what security solutions you do have in place, b.) assess what’s within your budget to potentially procure in the new year, and c.) take great heed of the truly sophisticated threats that bad actors continue to pose.

Let’s focus on that last point, for a second. Network operators and service providers far and wide are, indeed, facing a veritable monsoon of dangers; clever (and increasingly deepfake-fueled) social engineering tactics, swiftly exploited cloud vulnerabilities, sinister (and, unfortunately, precisely targeted) malware and ransomware, DoS/DDoS attacks, and other methods that have become both automated and enhanced by AI. (A double-edged sword of the digital age, if ever there was one.)

While this list may not prove exhaustive, it still covers some of the most significant threats facing us today. There are data breaches galore as businesses and consumers alike rely more and more heavily on network services, which is why understanding the risk landscape and taking proper action is a big-time must.

And for those looking to dive into proactive cybersecurity strategies, we have a great resource:

ITEXPO 2025.

Taking place from February 11-13, 2025, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, ITEXPO (News - Alert) (part of the whole #TECHSUPERSHOW experience) combines educational conference programming with a robust exhibit hall, networking events and myriad other activities that bring people together when it comes to safeguards/innovations that drive clear success.

And at the upcoming ITEXPO event, there’ll specifically be a session held that’s titled “Securing the Modern Network: Addressing Emerging Threats (News - Alert) and Vulnerabilities.” There, the panelists leading discussion will explore some of the latest (and, often, most foreboding) cybersecurity challenges. Then, they’ll couple those with plenty of best practices and industry-proven solutions for securing modern networks and sensitive customer data. This particular session will be held from 12:00-12:45 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
