Professional-Grade IP Desktop Phones Now Available from Gigaset

By Greg Tavarez October 24, 2024

Happy Thursday, readers. Let’s talk about DECT (News - Alert) phones.

DECT phones, short for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, utilize DECT technology to provide high-quality audio, extended range and multiple handset capabilities.

DECT phones are widely preferred over traditional analog cordless phones due to their superior sound quality, reduced interference, and ability to operate on a variety of frequencies.

Another advantage of DECT phones is their ability to provide excellent audio quality, even in areas with high levels of interference. This is because DECT phones use digital signals, which are less susceptible to noise and distortion compared to analog signals. Additionally, DECT phones offer a wider range than traditional cordless phones, allowing you to use them throughout your home or office without experiencing dropouts or signal loss.

Additionally, an important feature of DECT phones is how they can support multiple handsets. This means that you can connect additional handsets to your DECT base station. This is particularly useful for larger households or businesses where multiple people need to have access to a phone.

So yeah, DECT phones offer a reliable and convenient cordless phone solution for both home and office use.

And a renowned DECT phone provider in Europe, Gigaset, has officially expanded its product portfolio in the professional category with three new IP desk phones.

The three new devices - P710 IP PRO, P820 IP PRO AND P850W IP PRO - range from a compact all-rounder device to a Wi-Fi-connected premium model with a 5-inch LCD color display.

They will be refined by the joint research and development team and adapted to Gigaset's structures. The modern desk phones will be connected to Gigaset's own backend services, which are hosted and managed in Germany. In addition, the renowned Gigaset service level applies with local pre- and post-sales support.

With the single and multi-cells (as well as handsets manufactured in Germany), Gigaset now offers a complete product range for professional users in the office, service, and industrial environments.

"Gigaset will thus become a one-stop store for our professional resellers and enable our partners to offer a broader range of solutions with faster market access," said Ralf Lueb, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Gigaset.

The new IP phones will be launched in all European markets at the beginning of 2025 and will be available exclusively from all certified Gigaset Professional distributors.
