OneBill's Integration with Pangea Simplifies Fax Service Billing for Businesses

By Greg Tavarez September 24, 2024

Businesses have traditionally relied on manual or paper-based methods for billing and revenue management. Manually creating invoices, tracking payments and reconciling accounts has involved administrative overhead. This manual labor is not only tedious, though; it's also susceptible to human error, which has led to inaccuracies in billing and potential financial losses. Additionally, paper-based systems prove cumbersome to manage and prone to misplacement or damage, making it difficult to access and analyze billing data.

This is why billing and revenue management platforms like OneBill cater to businesses operating in the subscription, recurring billing and usage-based billing models. OneBill centralizes customer data to let businesses gain a unified view of their customer base. Through this, businesses personalize customer interactions, offer tailored products and services and enhance customer loyalty.

The platform also automates various billing tasks, such as invoice generation, payment reminders and recurring billing to reduce manual effort and minimizing errors. Additionally, OneBill integrates with popular payment gateways to allow businesses to accept payments securely from multiple channels.

With that said, in a strategic move to enhance its capabilities, OneBill forged a partnership with internet fax solution provider, Pangea.

With the OneBill-Pangea integration, businesses effortlessly share and synchronize subscriber and customer product information between the two platforms to ensure data consistency. This integration also enables businesses to monitor customer usage of internet fax services, such as the number of faxes sent, and accurately bill for this usage through OneBill's usage-rating engine. This engine automatically processes call detail records received from Pangea's platform.

To set up usage-based billing, businesses can create a specific billing product within OneBill to manage charges based on consumption. The system then automatically retrieves data files from Pangea daily to track customer service usage. This collected data is subsequently processed to calculate the exact billing amount for each customer based on their consumption.

“We are excited about this new integration as it provides businesses with an easy and automated way to manage both subscription and usage-based billing,” said JK Chelladurai, founder and CEO of OneBill.

Integrating with OneBill's billing and revenue management platform also means tht Pangea's resellers can now offer their customers a more streamlined and automated experience. OneBill's features simplify the entire customer lifecycle for Pangea's resellers to allow them to focus on providing exceptional customer service. And, the integration enables Pangea's resellers to efficiently manage their revenue streams.

“The integration with OneBill gives Pangea reseller partners a great option to seamlessly link our fax solutions with OneBill's powerful platform,” said Pangea President Dean Etzel. “We're excited to offer OneBill customers an easy way to offer fax as a service while managing Pangea fax users from within their existing OneBill portal.”

Overall, the integration looks to be a promising one. It addresses a common pain point for businesses that need to manage both billing and fax services. The automation features, data synchronization and accurate usage-based billing capabilities all point toward a successful implementation. However, the ultimate success will depend on how well the integration is executed and supported.
