Pure IP's Mobile Connect Integrates Teams Directly into Personal Devices

By Greg Tavarez April 04, 2024

The modern workplace is no longer confined to the four walls of a traditional office space. With the rise of remote work, flexible schedules and geographically dispersed teams, businesses are more reliant than ever on mobile technology to keep their employees connected and productive.

However, ensuring seamless communication for a mobile workforce is not as easy as some might think. Legacy solutions often involve juggling multiple devices, managing separate apps and fighting with security concerns. This fragmentation not only disrupts workflow but also creates a communication gap between desk-bound and mobile employees.

Therefore, communication technology providers are constantly innovating to bridge the divide.

That said, a new bridge is being provided by Pure IP, a provider of enterprise voice solutions and a BCM One company, with the launch of Mobile Connect, a solution that integrates Microsoft (News - Alert) Teams calling functionality into personal mobile devices.

Powered by Tango Extend, Mobile Connect empowers organizations to equip their mobile and frontline workforces with a secure, app-free communication experience, all while leveraging the familiar convenience of their chosen mobile phones.

"Frontline workers comprise over 80% of the world's workforce, and many of them are unconnected or have a disjointed experience when it comes to business communications,” said Diana Florea, Technical Solutions Director at Pure IP. “This solution streamlines communication, enabling workers everywhere to use their chosen mobile devices while upholding the professional features and security standards of their organization's Microsoft Teams Phone (News - Alert) System.”

Mobile Connect champions a Bring Your Own Device approach and allows organizations to offer a cost-effective communication solution for their non-desk-based workforce without compromising on security or functionality. The solution leverages eSIM technology, a virtual SIM card embedded within the mobile device, to integrate a secondary line dedicated to Microsoft Teams calling. This allows users to make and receive calls using their existing Teams Operator Connect or Direct Routing number, all through their native phone dialer.

Unlike traditional solutions that require a dedicated Teams app for calling, Mobile Connect eliminates the need for additional software downloads. This innovative approach ensures a familiar and intuitive calling experience for users, while still maintaining a single, secure, and centrally managed environment for IT administrators. Unified presence, voicemail, and compliance recording capabilities are all integrated within the Microsoft Teams platform to provide a holistic view of their communication activities.

Because a holistic view is provided, Pure IP Mobile Connect delivers cost savings. This eliminates the burden of carrying and managing two separate phones, while ensuring clear and professional communication through the automatic segregation of business and personal contacts. The solution prioritizes user convenience by leveraging the native phone dialer for a natural calling experience. Additionally, eSIM and QR code provisioning enable a quick and easy setup process.

“Pure IP's Mobile Connect solution addresses a pressing need among today's workforce - especially frontline and mobile employees - by providing a seamless and reliable user experience for their daily communications without the hassle of additional costly hardware or applications,” said Florea.

Pure IP Mobile Connect is a solution that helps organizations better equip their mobile workforce with a secure, unified and cost-effective way to stay connected. The result? Improved collaboration and productivity.
