Industry Veteran Pulver Joins Unified Office's Advisory Board

By Greg Tavarez February 27, 2024

Unified Office, an MSP that offers reliable, cloud-based, business communications, has been in the news recently.

First, Unified Office announced the combination of its next-generation Sentiment Analysis tool with the Premium Notifications product. The result of the combo was to provide real-time emotion detection and immediate action on phone calls between customer service representatives and clients.

Second, Unified Office appointed a widely recognized figure in the technology industry and a pioneer in VoIP who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to its Advisory Board of Directors.

That figure is Jeff Pulver (News - Alert).

Pulver is the CEO of Pulver.com, an online resource for VoIP and emerging technologies. He is also known for co-founding Vonage, a VoIP service provider, and for his investments in over 400 startups.

Looking back at the early days of VoIP technology, in the early 2000s, Pulver faced resistance from traditional telephone companies and regulators who were hesitant to embrace this new technology. However, Pulver's relentless advocacy and commitment to open communication ultimately led to the "Pulver Order" by the Federal Communications Commission in 2004. The decision ensured that VoIP services would not be subject to the same regulations as traditional phone companies, paving the way for widespread adoption of the technology.

"Jeff Pulver is a tech industry icon, a pioneer in the field of VoIP and a leading advocate for internet freedom," said Ray Pasquale, CEO and founder of Unified Office. "Pulver saw the potential for VoIP to revolutionize the way we communicate. He has a remarkable history of founding and steering successful, cutting-edge start-up companies. His leadership and innovation fits well with our company culture and he will make a valuable addition to our advisory board."

Pulver's enthusiasm for Unified Office stems from the company's commitment to cloud-based communications and its recognition of the continued importance of voice in today's business environment. Unified Office’s platform integrates voice, video, data and mobility features to help businesses improve communication, collaboration and productivity. With that, he believes Unified Office is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for reliable and efficient communication solutions.

"I'm intrigued, impressed, and excited about the prospects for Unified Office. Today, they're doing things I was talking about 20 years ago with finesse and style," said Pulver. "Unified Office shares my view that voice is the future and that we are at a major inflection point in today's real-time world where a company's responsiveness to the marketplace is more critical than ever before."

Pulver's appointment to the Advisory Board further strengthens Unified Office's position in the cloud-based communications market. His expertise and guidance will help the company develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers.
