Optiva's Next-Gen Charging Engine Puts AI and Automation in Operators' Hands

By Stefania Viscusi September 21, 2023

Telecom solutions provider Optiva has unveiled its new Optiva Charging Engine, a next-gen solution that leverages AI to provide personalized, real-time digital customer experiences. The new platform offers agility, enabling quick and seamless adaptation, while also mitigating the typical delays associated with legacy systems.

The new Optiva Charging Engine takes things a step further by incorporating an Open API gateway as well as support for customer and product management through TM Forum (News - Alert) Open APIs. This not only enhances automation capabilities throughout the Business Support Systems (BSS) stack, but it also streamlines customer flows from product creation to intelligent selling.

Optiva’s cloud-native billing, charging, and revenue management software is globally accessible on both private and public cloud platforms and helps service providers looking to capitalize on opportunities presented by digitalization, 5G, IoT, and emerging markets.

The latest offering also uses AI-based closed-loop feedback to help align product configurations with customer preferences. These enhanced features are crucial for addressing current and future market requirements, while simultaneously driving cost savings through comprehensive automation across all stages of the operation.

“As the telecom industry moves toward Web 3.0 and new revenue opportunities, including metaverse, NFTs and B2B2X offerings, leveraging the power of AI to continuously personalize the customer experience and attract new customers is vital,” said Matt Halligan, CTO of Optiva.

With new convergent rating and charging capabilities, telecom operators can craft compelling customer offerings and explore new revenue streams with an overall faster time to market.
