BICS Singapore To Acquire MOBtexting

By Luke Bellos December 09, 2021

Communication-Platform-as-a-Service MOBtexting recently announced it will be acquired by BICS Singapore, a subsidiary of global communications company, BICS.

As part of this deal,  BICS leaders intend to incorporate MOBtexting’s omnichannel cloud-based communications solutions to help support BICS’ ultimate goal of becoming a communications platform company. Additionally, MOBtexting will benefit through the ability to capitalize on new business opportunities through BICS own global customer base.

"By joining the BICS Group, we can develop new use cases which build on our respective strengths, allowing us to seize new growth opportunities as companies around the world accelerate their digital transformation strategies," said Ajay Gupta (News - Alert), MOBtexting Co-Founder & CEO. "Being based in Asia, we have a competitive advantage to deliver these services in a large and digitally-driven market, while leveraging BICS' global footprint to serve as a differentiator."

The unification of MOBtexting and BICS is obviously beneficial for both companies, but will likely be a big win for business customers attempting to digitally transform outdated communications infrastructure. With BICS portfolio of cloud voice and messaging solutions, businesses will have all the resources needed to enhance customer experiences, increase employee productivity, and cut operational costs.

Including MOBtexting solutions into the BIC product family enables business customers to take their activity and CX engagement to the next level, through AI-enabled voice telephony integrations, advanced SMS capabilities, and heightened security features.

"This acquisition fast-tracks BICS' vision to become an integrated communications platform company, combining our global reach with software-based applications for a seamless user experience. With these new capabilities, we can offer our customers around the world a broader set of tools to quickly and more effectively engage their customers, objects and applications through the power of digital communications," added Matteo Gatta, BICS Group CEO.

Financial details regarding this acquisition have yet to be disclosed, and closing conditions are still pending.
