Destiny Acquires Telepo and Soluno in Giant European UCaaS Play

By Laura Stotler July 02, 2021

Belgian cloud communications provider Destiny has acquired two companies, becoming a power player in the European UCaaS market. The company has purchased Telepo (News - Alert), a Swedish UCaaS platform provider, as well as Swedish UCaaS provider Soluno.

The acquisitions are designed to strengthen Destiny's position in the UCaaS space, with Telepo's solution serving as the company's second UCaaS platform. Telepo will also be an addition to Destiny's Service Provider channel, while Soluno gives Destiny access to the Nordic UCaaS market. The acquisitions create a total of 600 Destiny employees spread throughout Belgium, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Germany and the UK.

"This is the next level of Destiny's big play to own the European cloud communication space," said Daan De Wever, CEO of Destiny. "Our combined forces give us own IP, technology that is easy to adopt, use and integrate, great partners, talented local teams and ambition to invest in further developing our innovative and market leading UCaaS platform for SMEs, today and tomorrow."

Destiny already uses the Telepo platform to deliver their UCaaS services in the Benelux region of western Europe. The two companies will now work together to innovate new UCaaS services for the European SME market, which will be delivered through Destiny's channels and partnerships.

"This marks the start of an incredible new chapter in our journey as a win-win for both companies," said Rami Houbby, general manager at Telepo. "Destiny will be able to standardize on Telepo as own IP for the group-wide platform to drive consistency and future growth.

The Soluno acquisition cements Destiny's position in Sweden as the company was already using Telepo's UCaaS platform. The company will also invest in growth and innovation of the platform as well as new IP services.

"Soluno has constantly generated strong organic growth by providing our channels and end customers with innovation that enables easy to use and future proof business communications - today," said Patrik Sörqvist, CEO of Soluno. "By joining the Destiny family, our European vision is already a reality and we will together transform of the European UCaaS market."
