Dr. Dale Skeen is the CTO & Co-Founder of Vitria Technology, where he is responsible for overall technology direction and product development. A computer scientist at heart, Dale is currently spearheading innovative advancements of analytics for the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data initiatives.


For more than 25 years, Dr. Skeen has designed and implemented large-scale computing and fast data systems for some of the world’s largest companies in Financial Services, Telecom, and Energy. He is a recognized industry visionary in Publish-Subscribe Communication, Intelligent Business Process Management, and Real-Time Analytics, with dozens of patented inventions in these areas. Prior to co-founding Vitria, Dr. Skeen was the co-founder of TIBCO Software, where he served as the Chief Scientist, and held faculty positions at the University of California, Berkeley, and Cornell University.


Dr. Skeen has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
