Enghouse Buys Aculab to Expand AI and Communication Capabilities

In a strategic move to strengthen its communication and AI offerings, Enghouse Holdings UK Limited, a subsidiary of Canadian software leader Enghouse Systems Limited, announced its acquisition of Aculab (News - Alert) PLC, a U.K.-based provider of telecommunications and AI solutions.




Aculab is well-known for its advancements in telephony, speech processing, and AI. The company’s portfolio includes:

  • Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) for scalable, cloud-based communications.
  • AI-driven answering machine detection to streamline customer interactions.
  • Advanced voice and facial biometrics for secure authentication.
  • High-performance media processing, signaling products, and gateways for seamless integration across industries.


The company’s solutions serve diverse sectors, including healthcare, emergency management, public safety, and telecommunications, both directly to enterprises and through top-tier integrators in the US and Europe.

Enghouse (News - Alert) Systems Limited is a provider of enterprise software solutions for contact centers, video communications, healthcare, telecommunications, and public safety.

The acquisition of Aculab aligns seamlessly with the company’s mission to deliver innovative tools for modern communication and security challenges. By integrating Aculab’s AI-driven technologies in its Interactive Management Group and Asset Management Group, it will further strengthen its foothold in rapidly evolving markets.
