Synchronoss Launches Enhanced Personal Cloud Platform for Service Providers

By Stefania Viscusi October 01, 2024

Synchronoss Technologies (News - Alert) announced the latest version of its Synchronoss Personal Cloud platform. This updated, carrier-grade cloud solution provides a white-label approach designed specifically for telecom operators and service providers so they can deliver a tailored cloud experience to subscribers.

Unlike traditional OTT services, Synchronoss Personal Cloud allows users to manage, backup, and optimize digital content across various devices, including mobile phones, laptops, and computers. The platform currently supports over 10 million mobile and broadband subscribers globally.

The latest release will simplify user onboarding, boost subscriber engagement, and offer service providers enhanced revenue opportunities.

“The newest version of Synchronoss Personal Cloud enables our service provider partners to deliver robust cloud solutions with enhanced user experiences aimed specifically at improving engagement,” said Jeff Miller, President and CEO of Synchronoss.

Since Synchronoss' platform is highly scalable and customizable, it's easier for telecom operators to launch cloud solutions quickly. And with tiered plans and premium features, service providers can also reduce customer churn and increase average revenue per user (ARPU).

Key features of the enhanced platform include:

  • Memories: A feature that uses AI to create personalized movies from users' content, which can be shared with family and friends, enhancing user engagement.
  • AI-Enhanced Genius (News - Alert): This one-click photo editing tool allows users to apply AI-powered filters and transformations, making it easier for subscribers to optimize their images.
  • Improved Backups: The platform now offers more robust backup capabilities and better notification management to ensure seamless content protection.
  • Tip Cards: These new in-app communication tools allow service providers to share tips and promote new features, driving feature awareness and adoption among users.

“With the introduction of Memories and AI-Enhanced Genius features, subscribers can effortlessly curate, share, and optimize their digital content – all within an intuitive and consistent interface. We are very proud to announce these new capabilities and are excited for subscriber feedback based on the user experience testing we have done,” said Miller.
