San Francisco Giants Hit a Home Run with RingCentral Partnership

By Greg Tavarez April 18, 2024

It’s been a few weeks since the start of the 2024 Major League Baseball season. Although the season is young, very young at that, we have a general idea of who the teams to beat are. But as most baseball fans know, that can change quickly, especially in a long season.

This week, though, we have seen moves made by MLB (News - Alert) franchises to give its team and fan a competitive advantage off the diamond. Earlier this week, the Cleveland Guardians selected Windstream’s services to bolster their IT performance. You can read more about that here.

In more recent news, the San Francisco Giants, off to a shaky start of the season, recently named RingCentral as an enterprise cloud communications partner to transform the organization’s business communications to elevate employee and fan engagement.

"With our roots in the Bay Area, we couldn’t be more excited to team up with the San Francisco Giants as we take their business communications to the next level with our cloud platform," said Carson Hostetter, chief revenue officer, RingCentral (News - Alert). "We look forward to helping the Giants deliver a best-in-class communications experience that connects the Giants team to their fans."

The migration to RingCentral’s reliable cloud-based platform will enhance Giants employee collaboration, deliver cost savings and efficiencies and transform the fan customer experience with quicker response times, enhanced call reliability and more.

To do that, the Giants will use RingCentral’s flagship solutions, including RingEX and a RingCentral Contact Center solution.

RingEx is an AI-powered business communication platform that ntegrates communication tools like messaging, video calling and phone calling into one platform. The key difference is its AI assistant, RingSense AI, which helps organizations be more productive. This AI takes notes in real-time, summarizes meetings, translates messages and helps write emails. RingEx aims to make communication within businesses smoother and more efficient.

RingCentral Contact Center offers businesses a cloud-based solution for managing customer interactions. It allows for omnichannel support, meaning organization can connect with customers via phone, chat, social media and other digital channels.

“Our partnership with RingCentral provides the Giants with more streamlined internal business operations functions than ever before,” said Bill Schlough, chief information officer of the San Francisco Giants. “With RingCentral’s innovative communications solutions, we can continue our focus on what matters most – providing our fans with unmatched game day experiences and playing good baseball.”

RingCentral branding will be on the scoreboard and signage in the dugouts and bullpens at Oracle (News - Alert) Park.
