RingCentral Revolutionizes Business Communication with Real-Time AI

By Stefania Viscusi April 04, 2024

RingCentral, a provider of AI-driven cloud business communications and collaboration solutions, announced new AI enhancements for its flagship solution, now rebranded as RingEX. With the integration of RingSense AI throughout its platform, RingCentral (News - Alert) is looking to empower employees across organizations with personalized and context-aware interactions to help revolutionize everyday work processes.

Significant enhancements have been added to boost productivity and collaboration efforts as part of these latest developments from RingCentral. This includes:

  • RingEX with RingSense AI: Replacing the existing RingCentral MVP, the new RingEX with RingSense AI offers intelligence across various communication channels, including phone calls, SMS, meetings, and messaging. It introduces features such as real-time call notes, messaging recaps, and generative AI search capabilities across conversations.

  • Purpose-built AI across RingCentral suite: The purpose-built AI is seamlessly integrated across RingCentral's suite of solutions, including RingEX, RingCX, RingSense for Sales, and RingCentral Events. This integration aims to boost efficiency and collaboration in every interaction, catering to diverse business needs.

“AI brings a shift from unifying communication modes and functionality to merging employee and customer experiences, and it’s exciting,” said Vlad Shmunis, Founder, Chairman, and CEO, of RingCentral. “Building on our battle-tested, mission-critical platform, we are delivering purpose-built AI for specific use cases to drive tangible value – from enhancing everyday productivity to driving interaction efficiencies. RingSense AI unlocks data-rich conversations across phone calls, messaging, video meetings, and contact center interactions to deliver actionable insights that inform more intelligent workflows.”

Some of the newest productivity tools now include:

  • Real-time note-taking: Empowers phone conversations with a personal AI assistant for capturing notes, questions, and action items in real-time.
  • Conversation intelligence: Provides AI-generated summaries, notes, and action items, capturing the context of conversations for personalized engagements.
  • Unread message recap: Offers AI-generated summaries of missed team messages in group chats for quick catch-up.
  • AI writer and translator: Writes polished chat messages and accurately translates messages into multiple languages.
  • Generative AI search: Allows users to search for information across phone calls, SMS, and voicemails using AI-powered search capabilities.

“Historically, voice-driven data has been largely inaccessible at scale,” said Jim Lundy, Founder and CEO, of Aragon Research. “With RingSense AI, RingCentral is unlocking that data into key insights and action items. The ability for RingSense AI to create notes in real-time, interpret complex conversations, and dynamically automate action items on behalf of a user, all from a single, consistent user experience embedded directly within RingEX, is what makes this solution unique.”

RingSense AI for RingEX is currently undergoing a preview phase with select customers, with further details on pricing and availability expected in the coming months.
