Vibes Offers Free SMS Notification to Essential Businesses During Coronavirus Outbreak

By Erik Linask March 26, 2020

We are operating in an unprecedented time in terms of so many elements of our daily lives.  The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the global community; cities, states, and entire countries have effectively been shut down to slow its spread, and businesses have been told employees must work from home.

"We are operating in uncharted waters, requiring everyone to work together and communicate quickly, and often," said Alex Campbell (News - Alert), co-founder and chief innovation officer of mobile engagement platform Vibes.

The rapid spread of the virus has pushed millions of businesses into telework situations, but many were ill-prepared and didn’t have the technologies in place to support an immediate transition.  Fortunately, many members of the global tech community have stepped up and are helping facilitate the changes needed to keep businesses operational with each employee in a separate location.

Part of that includes keeping employees updated with important information, whether that’s business- or coronavirus-related.  With the volume of other communications many companies and employees have to sift through, that’s not always the most impactful method for communicating important information quickly.  Text messages, on the other hand, tend to be read much more quickly.

To help businesses more effectively communicate important information to employees, Vibes is now offering its Vibes Notify text broadcast solution free to essential businesses.  Vibes Notify lets companies internally distribute SMS alerts and call-to-actions to team members quickly, allowing them to share vital, time-sensitive information in real-time.

“As mobile messaging experts, we feel it is both our responsibility and our duty to offer mission-critical solutions that help businesses navigate this crisis,” added Campbell.

Vibes Notify runs on top of companies’ existing communications channels to maximize on the real-time nature and reliability of SMS.  importantly, it also supports the mandate for social distancing and disparate workforces, even within essential businesses.

Communications is critical to every business, and the technologies that enable companies to remain operationally fluid and flexible are at the heart of the TechSuperShow content and exhibit floor.  Coming to the brand new Miami Beach Convention Center June 22-25, 2021,TechSuperShow features ITEXPOMSP ExpoSD-WAN ExpoFuture of Work Expo, and several other collocated events that offer an unprecedented opportunity education and networking opportunity to business leaders, who will have access to the latest content and products and services that are driving business success.
