Fonality has done an integration with Intellinote that makes this solution accessible from its own Heads Up Display. This added functionality is available to customers for $10 per user per month. Ustream eCDN Addresses Enterprise Video

Video has become an important communications tool for enterprises. But this bandwidth-hungry medium can also have negative repercussions on other traffic traversing enterprise networks. To help businesses address that, IBM (News - Alert) has introduced Ustream eCDN. This new service entails the installation of a virtual server within a company’s firewall. Once that’s done, eCDN delivers a single instance of a live or on-demand video asset that is cached and served to viewers as needed. By delivering video as a single instance, Ustream eCDN lowers the impact of video traffic on the larger enterprise network. The New York State Senate is among the first users of Ustream eCDN.

That increase, she said, was fueled by businesses’ move to cloud-based services and SIP, as well as by the de-emphasis of legacy voice connectivity by service providers.
