Actelis Networks to Supply Significant Upgrades for US Army National Guard Base

“Modernize. Digitize. Protect.”

This, put rather concisely, is the M.O. of Actelis Networks, a networking solutions provider determined to deliver “cyber-hardened, rapid deployment offerings for wide area IoT applications,” as the company itself has described. We’re sure that much Actelis (News - Alert)-centric news is highly suitable for IoT Evolution World (in terms of the news pipeline for you, readers) but we’ve opted to publish on Internet Telephony today, instead.

Here’s why:

Look back to August of 2023 — Actelis was officially selected by the U.S. Air Force to modernize its on-base networking infrastructure. Actelis’ high-performance, hybrid fiber-copper networking solutions extended connectivity to 41 total sites, enabling data services, monitoring and control for mission-critical systems. At the time, Actelis’ CEO Tuvia Barlev spoke about how the company’s solutions are “a perfect match for military bases looking to instantly and securely update their networks in a highly cost-effective manner,” and that future military customers are promised the same. (i.e. immediate benefits in the short term, as well as a multitude of long-term investment advantages due to the adaptability and easy reconfigurability)

“The system we deployed for the Air Force lays the groundwork for other bases we can help modernize,” Barlev added. “Be it for the Army or Navy, for instance, our solutions can be easily replicated on both nationwide and worldwide scales.”

Fast-forward to present day, and this appears to be precisely what’s happened.

Actelis has announced that it received a new $200,000 order from the U.S. Department of Military Affairs to supply a U.S. Army National Guard base with its hybrid-fiber networking solution.

Here’s a great excerpt from Actelis’ official announcement:

“Actelis was chosen for its ability to instantly deliver significantly higher bandwidth compared to the base’s legacy system, without requiring any upgrades to the existing physical cabling. By opting for Actelis' hybrid-fiber networking solution, the base network can achieve the necessary bandwidth immediately, saving substantial time and costs on engineering and construction.”

This order for the National Guard will reportedly support hundreds of state and government employees (in addition to other Army personnel).

“Military bases are increasingly recognizing the immediate value we provide by leveraging their existing network infrastructure,” Barlev commented. “Bases can achieve fiber-grade connectivity for their current operations very fast, while also future-proofing their systems to accommodate additional devices and technologies — without the constraints of outdated bandwidth limitations.”
