Cisco Jabber on Virtual Desktops

Cisco (News - Alert) Jabber users can jibber-jabber all the more now, with software designed to extend the Jabber experience to virtual desktops on Cisco and third-party thin clients. The Virtualization Experience Media Engine (VXME) will be made available for Cisco thin clients soon, followed by support for third-party devices.


With VXME, virtual desktop users can access the collaboration capabilities that Jabber provides. This includes HD video, presence and instant messaging, all as part of the Cisco Virtualization Experience Infrastructure (VXI) Smart Solution for desktop virtualization.


Thanks to the VXME, users now have more choices about what thin clients they use Jabber on, while getting an improved user experience no matter what they do.
