US Government Approves Amcom 911 Call Center Solution for Reliable Scheduling
Amcom Software’s pc/psap 911 call center solution is now listed under the Department of Defense’s Unified Capabilities Approved Products List. This solution has received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification from the U.S. government and it will ensure secure, reliable communications for both government and civilian organizations.
The company had to complete rigorous federal government testing and compliance processes under real-life conditions in order to qualify for IOC and IA approval.
“This solution provides a strong technology foundation for both military and civilian organizations dedicated to responding quickly and effectively to emergency situations,” said Kate Bolseth, chief operating officer, Amcom Software. “The U.S. government’s approval for pc/psap is a significant indication of the product’s capabilities and its adherence to key security requirements.”
This certification proves that Amcom Software’s pc/psap 911 call center solution has the ability to provide the required level of security and interoperability as stipulated by the U.S. Government and the U.S. Military.
Amcom’s solution allows military bases to handle 911 calls made from the base as well as from off-base housing and enables call-takers to use recordings to work with internal or local police as well as other nearby 911 call centers.
This is not the first solution to receive IA/IOC certification from Amcom as many other offerings have achieved this milestone including Amcom Smart Console operator console with computer-telephony integration (CTI (News - Alert)); Amcom Smart Web online directory and on-call scheduling; and Amcom Smart Speech voice-based directory and morale calls.
Amcom Software was in news earlier this month when Gwinnett Medical Center selected Amcom solutions to help improve nurse communications and emergency notification capabilities for the increasingly mobile staff at their facilities in Lawrenceville, Ga.
