Frost & Sullivan Celebrates Sangoma
Despite a reported ransomware attack in December, 2020 marked a banner year for UC provider Sangoma. The steadying force of the open source communications community is overcoming the obstacles of a pandemic-marred year to continue to deliver on its promise of being a trusted leader in the space.
The recently released Frost & Sullivan North American Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) market analysis put a spotlight on Sangoma, bestowing a 2020 North American Competitive Strategy Leadership Award to the open-source UC leader.
"Sangoma ranks as one of the few remaining competitors in the UC market that delivers a complete portfolio of on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-based solutions. Both businesses and service providers appreciate Sangoma as a one-stop-shop partner that meets their diverse communications requirements," said Michael Brandenburg Senior Industry Analyst, Connected Work. "Sangoma can serve as the trusted partner for service providers, making available any mix of its products and services to network providers looking to offer Unified-Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS), SIP trunking, and other communications services."
In serving as the primary developer and sponsor of FreePBX and Asterisk – the two largest open source communications projects globally – Sangoma is able to continue innovating on the bleeding edge, and offer firms robust turnkey communications solutions. It is able to put the creativity of a diligent developer community into products and services, like its SwitchVox hosted UC service.
Businesses know better than to overlook communications systems. The WFH world is demanding all the digital era can offer, and Sangoma is leading the open source charge.
