The transformation to the use of cloud services is well underway. Companies and organizations throughout the world have overcome initial objections and are embracing the opportunity to streamline their operations, reduce their capital investments in infrastructure and better align their competitive offerings with that of the competition. It’s the best of all worlds, creating significant demand for those companies willing to support cloud offerings, such as virtual PBX.

To that end, virtual PBX solutions provider, Sangoma Technologies Corporation (Sangoma) has announced the launch of a new cloud PBX service. Branded as the PBXact Unified Cloud Communications (PBXact UCC) solution, this new offering is designed specifically to meet the communication needs of the small enterprise or SMB.

"Our customers are constantly looking for integrated solutions that will lower overall communications costs," said Tony Lewis, General Manager USA at Sangoma Technologies in a press release. "The ubiquity of the internet, combined with SIP and VoIP protocols, mean high end communication solutions can now be delivered from the cloud and benefit from the software as a service (SaaS) model that have become so prevalent in the tech industry."

The PBXact UCC offering is based on the award-winning, on-premise PBXact UC systems and is backed by the failsafe datacenters operated by Sangoma. The company’s SIPStation SIP trunking infrastructure is also in use and the solution overall is designed to lower costs and facilitate implementation. The features offered on the virtual PBX platform include Zulu desktop integration, Advanced Unified Communications with UC Web Panels and Sangoma’s Phone apps to deliver productivity tools integrated with IP phones.

According to Joseph Pedalino, Owner of Southeastern Technology Specialist and a long time reselling partner of Sangoma shared his insight on the PBXact UCC. His company has been a part of the beta testing phase and found it to be easy to setup and configure. Now, Pedalino expects that Sangoma’s new offering will become one of his company’s first recommendations for clients. As he put it, “it works flawlessly!”

A new and robust partner program has also been put in place for companies interested in reselling the PBXact UCC service. Given the demand for access to virtual PBX and other cloud services to streamline operations and bring better capability to the SMB and small enterprise, this new platform should enjoy significant opportunities for success.
